North Korean film exposes Western Propaganda

Well worth viewing. Nice to see an ‘outsider’s’ way of looking at us..

” On a trip to visit family in Seoul in April, I was approached by a man and a woman who claimed to be North Korean defectors. They requested a meeting the following day to hand over a film that needed to be translated, and I agreed to meet with them. They presented me with a DVD disc that recently came into their possession via the recent arrival of a defector into their group. They asked me to translate the film and “make sure the world saw it” and an agreement was made to protect their identities (and mine). Despite my concerns about what I was viewing when I returned home, I proceeded to translate and post the film on You Tube because of the film’s extraordinary content. I have made public my belief that this film was never intended for a domestic audience in the DPRK. Instead, I believe the ‘defectors’ specifically targeted me because of my reputation as a translator and interpreter. Furthermore, I now believe these people work for the DPRK. The fact that I have continued to translate and post the film in spite of this belief does not make me complicit in their intention to spread their ideology. I chose to keep posting this film because – regardless of who made it – I believe people should see it for the issues it raises, and I stand by my right to keep sharing and discussing this film.

Jobs and War

Seems so appropriate just now –

  • youngster finding it difficult to get a first job,
  • indebted graduates ending up working in call centres,
  • us older-timers have to work till they’re 70,
  • privatisation of constabularies,
  • private security/mercenary firms recruiting  for the Olympic Games,
  • war on the horizon with Iran and Syria.

Police State: Brazilian Schoolchildren

Not ‘tough on truancy and tough on the causes of truancy’. More like an excuse to ‘we’ll start with the kids first’.

Further to the last posting ( more ways of monitoring the chattel of The Parasites That Be.

Wont be long before Nick Rockefeller gets his wish to micro-chipped all of us.

Brazilian schoolchildren forced to wear tracking chips to combat truancy

Those who worry about technology eroding human rights have long predicted that it’s only a matter of time until a person’s every movement is tracked by the authorities. Now that time has come – with 20,000 Brazilian schoolchildren being “chipped.”

Children up to the age of 14 have had electronic chips implanted into their uniforms in the north-eastern city of Vitoria da Conquista. Authorities say the tracking devices will provide an easy way to combat truancy.

The students’ whereabouts are fed into a central computer when school starts. Staff are informed immediately if the child is absent, and if any student is still absent 20 minutes after lessons begin, parents receive a text message to their phones.

City education secretary Coriolano Moraes says the innovation, which cost the government $670 thousand to design, is aimed at helping parents.

“We noticed that many parents would bring their children to school but would not see if they actually entered the building because they always left in a hurry to get to work,” he told the Associated Press news agency.

But if a student misses school three times, the parents will be brought in to explain. If they fail to provide a sufficient explanation, they may be reported to the authorities, according to Moraes.

The chips are customarily placed on the inside of a sleeve, underneath an inscription that reads: “Education does not transform the world. Education changes people and people transform the world.”

Local authorities say the devices cannot be tampered with or damaged during laundry or ironing.

They are set to become compulsory in all schools in Vitoria da Conquista – and far beyond – next year, according to Moraes, “I believe we may be setting a trend because we have received many requests from all over Brazil for information on how our system works,” he said.

Michael of Kingstanding: Freedom Rebel

I’m a member of Freedom Rebels ( – please visit the site and have a look around. Better still, join up as a member.

Michael of Kingstanding, a very active Freedom Rebel has sent out the following email. He knows no fear and relishes the fight for freedom and justice.

Hi, Folks. After months of study. After successes against:

  1. Court appointed bailiffs (£900 not paid and dead in the water)
  2. Two £10K credit card accounts.
  3. A solicitor chasing an alleged £300 contract
  4. PCNs from 4 councils. (parking)
  5. NIPs from three Constaburglaries (speeding)
  6. An elektrickery company that cannot prove they have a contract
  7. Five summonses not attended (four in progress)

It’s time for the big ones.

Some time soon I expect to receive yet another summonse related to more than fourteen traffic related charges. (There are another two NIPS in the out tray.) Rather than accept their invitation to visit Hertford, I invited them to visit me in Watford.

Additionally, I have engaged with three rivers district council over “council tax.” I expect the engagement to escalate in the following months. It will be an exciting ride.

Uni of Salford Logo Fiasco

This has got to be a hoax. Sorry, NO, IT IS NOT.

Looks like someone’s got themselves a back-hander.

Logo fiasco

Uni of Salford insult

Uni of Salford insult to taxpayers

The University of Salford has just spent more than £130,000 of taxpayers’ money on a new logo. This comes shortly after the university had announced 200 job cuts as part of measures to save money.

Presumably the new logo came in at this spectacular figure partly because the design agency’s first effort attracted criticism as (horror of horrors) it included the word “Manchester” in the university’s title, ie. University of Salford Manchester. The rebranded rebrand now titles the institution as The University of Salford.

Responding to the criticism, a university spokeswoman said: “The brand is much more than a logo or design. It was the result of extensive research and consultation, including more than 500 students and staff who were asked about which university values were important to them.”

Since the university has a graphic design department offering a BA Hons degree, you’d have thought they could have taken their “consultation” one step further and actually got the students and staff to come up with a logo themselves, thus providing valuable experience for their students and a saving of approximately £132,336.

The parasites’ (U. of Salford) justification can be read at

A university spokesman said the logo was good value for money and had been designed after consultation with staff and students.

A spokesman for the university said: “The University of Salford brand is much more than a logo or design.

“It was the result of extensive research and consultation, including with more than 500 students and staff who were asked about which university values were important to them.

“The brand supports the university’s strategic direction, its ambitious campus development plan, the unique state-of-the-art facility at MediaCity and the transformation of administrative and academic operating models.

“It repositions the university regionally, nationally and internationally.

“In an increasingly competitive market, the new brand is part of the university’s ambitious development plans and repositions the university regionally, nationally and internationally.”

New news. Alarmingly funny and painfully true.
