Royal Park Community Consortium: Meeting 2012-04-24

From: http://rpcc.comze.com/ and https://www.facebook.com/RoyalParkSchool?sk=wall

I am supporter of The Royal Park Community Consortium (RPCC). We’re a group of local (Leeds) residents who have been trying to get the Leeds City Council to hand over a disused school to the local community for a clearly-defined community & business centre.

As you’d expect, The Parasites That Be have, not only tried to drag their feet in the process, but actively tried to allow the building to rot to such an extent that it would have needed to be demolished – thereby justifying the sale of the land to developer(s) for even more flats and yet another supermarket.

The local community (which off course includes students) together with the University Student Unions have made it very clear that we do not need or want the council’s offerings. We want and need a community facility. We will pay for it. We will carry out the works. We will run it.

The next meeting will be held on:

Thur 24th May at 7.00pm in All Hallows Church Hall, on Regent Terrace

” Royal Park Community Consortium remains in dialogue with Leeds city council and is trying to acquire the redundant school building and accomplish a community led refurbishment to use the building as a Hyde Park community asset. The group will be looking out for individuals and firms to help accomplish this in a “Big Society” effort. A team of volunteers are planning to contact tradesmen willing to offer some time to give to the project and various firms who would be willing to donate materials to get the project accepted by our Labour led city council.

It is probable that large timbers will be needed to repair the roof along with lead to replace the missing strips taken some 3 years ago. To get the building water and wind proof is the first objective so windows will also be a priority then to re-establish the ground and first floors. When all that is safe the insides can be tackled and gradually brought back into use. Because of the water damage and vandalism that has taken place all sorts of building materials, timber, cable, plaster, plumbing items will be needed and of course the tradesmen to guide the process.

There is a caretakers house that, after inspection, should be able to be brought back into use in 8 weeks or so as it is mostly in reasonable condition. The house might be used as the centre of operations or let out to give the site mores security should the project be sanctioned by the council.

Once we have a list of offers and materials the group will make out a plan and present it to the council for their consideration.

The big question is ~ What can you pledge?”

The Pledge form:

Company limited by Guarantee No. 6929678

RPCC ~ Charity No.1144373

10 Reasons why the Olympics is something worth protesting against

From: http://www.protestlondon2012.com/10reasons.html

  1. THE OLYMPICS WILL SHOW OFF OUR CITY TO THE WORLD. But it doesn’t. The Olympic Marathon had its route moved to Pall Mall because Tower Hamlets, the poorest borough in London, doesn’t quite make the right impression.

  2. THE OLYMPICS WILL BENEFIT LONDONERS WITH JOBS. It depends. Not people affected by the Games – only 25% of the Olympics workforce are from the five Olympic boroughs. However, Atos Origin, who run the volunteering scheme, are generating colossal profits from contracts. They’re less charitable to their workforce, who won’t get a penny for their time and energy.

  3. THE OLYMPICS WILL BENEFIT LOCAL BUSINESS. When the Athlete’s Village is turned into homes it will become part of the Stratford City development, now wholly owned by Westfield (after they bought out the other shareholders). Residents can look forward to having their environment controlled at the whim of a corporation whose reason for being is to sell stuff. Local business doesn’t really stand a chance in the long run.

  4. THE OLYMPICS WILL CREATE MORE HOUSING. Yes, if you can afford them! The rest of the site is being given over to homes is being developed by the Mayoral Development Company, Olympic Park Legacy Company. They promise 11,000 new homes, and 35% of them will be affordable. Only 675 of them will be social housing though, so if you’re on the list in Newham get ready to wait. The average wait is around 10 years. Previous Olympic cities, like Barcelona, Sydney and Seoul, have seen huge rises in property prices, forcing local families out of their neighbourhoods. This is already happening in London and thanks to confidentially agreements with the London Organising Committee of the Olympics and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) you won’t hear about it in the media.

  5. THE OLYMPICS WILL CREATE MORE PUBLIC TRANSPORT. Well, not quite. Huge swathes of London roads will become dedicated ‘VIP lanes’ during the Games. Thousands will struggle to get to work for the whole 10 weeks. There has been little word on how much the public will have to be in fare increases in future years. The DLR extension is finished but the new (old) platforms at Stratford International have been rebuilt out of wood. The cable car (officially the Emirates Air Line) that goes from not-quite-the-o2 to not-quite-the-ExCeL centre might be finished by the time the games happen. Nobody wants to say if it’ll be ready or not. But at least it’s only costing the taxpayer £24million in exchange for Emirates to get their logo on tube maps for the next decade

  6. THE OLYMPICS WILL MAKE THE CITY A SAFER PLACE TO BE. Well, yes, they are sending in the army and putting missiles on tops of peoples homes, then forgetting to guard them. You’ll be monitored the whole time by hundreds of security personnel, CTV and flying drones developed for use in Afghanistan. Stratford is set to be the guinea pig for yet more oppressive surveillance tactics. Studies show that CCTV does little to reduce crime, but a lot to create a climate of fear. The police also have a new temporary police station built on Wanstead Flats. Although planning permission was only sought for a temporary structure, its been constructed as a permanent building – stealing a large chunk of public green space enjoyed by local residents for centuries.

  7. THE OLYMPICS WILL BE THE GREENEST GAMES EVER. Not quite. The Olympic Park is built on a former landfill site. Excavations have disturbed buried toxic chemicals, spreading them into the land. Radioactive thorium from an old watch factory has also seeped into the water table. DOW Chemical, the company that bought Union Carbide (responsible for the as yet to be cleaned up Bhopal disaster) are major sponsors. Plus BP is the Olympics official sustainability partner. Their involvement in the Tar Sands is a glowing indicator of their lack of commitment to ecological sustainability and social justice.

  8. THE OLYMPICS IS AN INVESTMENT IN LONDON’S FUTURE. We’ll it is quite an investment. £9.3bn, according to the Olympics Quarterly Economic Report in May 2011. The original estimate in 2005? £2.4bn according to the Labour government. The most recent figure doesn’t include costs associated with the acquisition of land, remediation, government departments and quango spending. 10% of the cost for the Olympics will come from Londoner’s taxes and 67% from national taxes.

  9. THE OLYMPICS WILL PROMOTE DEMOCRACY AND FREEDOM OF SPEECH. We’ll it will certainly be promoting many things through its corporate sponsorship deals. LOCOG are interested in protecting their benevolent sponsors but seem to have little interest in anyone else’s freedom of speech or expression, even handing out ASBO’s to anyone opposing the games. Their crack team of branding Police will be enforcing laws expecially drawn up for the olympics which are far more stringent than any other copywrite law. With everything from an “Official chocolate bar of the Olympic Games” through to banning anyone using the words “olympics’, “2012”, “Summer Games” “Twenty Twelve” and many more, the games is more than anything an experiment in extending corporate control of social life.

  10. THE OLYMPICS WILL INSPIRE A NEW GENERATION. It will but the International Olympics Committee isn’t only interested in inspiring future athletes. It’s going for the gold and hoping to inspire as many people as possible to buy more stuff. It’s not quite clear what kind of future taxpayers are being asked to invest in. It seems to be one that favours a particular London vista – Pall Mall, oppression, privatization and the erosion of public space.

We’re not opposed to the sports events, and we’re all in favour of having a big party – but only if everyone’s invited.

Keep Asking: “When did The Crown get ownership?”

The North Will Rise Again.

From: http://www.forvik.com/

The Simple Question: When did Shetland become part of Scotland? – and what it means to you,  wherever you are.

The intent of this website is entirely serious, but there’s no harm in having a little fun along the way.

There’s lots of bad stuff going on – and getting worse as the Powers That Were slowly lose their grip. This site is not interested in breaking the existing system – it’s already broken and doesn’t need our help to finally collapse. In Forvik we’re setting up a society run by rules that people want to live by. Members from all over the world are contributing to what will provide a model by which societies worldwide can work. This is just the beginning, but watch what can be achieved in 12 months time.

Forvik is Shetland in microcosm. Shetland’s unique history gives it the opportunity to challenge big government and Forvik is leading the way.

The whole of the UK government’s authority in Shetland rests on the assumption that Shetland is part of Scotland. My research since 2002 into Shetland’s unique history leads me to the inescapable conclusion that it never happened – and that it could never have happened.

If I am right (and so far, nobody has proved me wrong), the implications are simply huge.

  • It means that the UK government never had the right to appropriate Shetland’s seabed and license oil companies to extract the oil.
  • It means they never had the authority to use Shetland’s fisheries as a bargaining chip to enter the EEC.
  • It means that Shetland has been subject to a massive fraud perpetrated at the highest level for hundreds of years.
  • It means that Shetland could not have been incorporated into the UK, let alone the EU.
  • It means that the people of Shetland have the right to decide what relationship they have with Scotland, The United Kingdom and The European Union.
  • It means that every Shetland land-owner stands above the Queen in Shetland.

“EU – The Hidden Local Issue”

From: http://youtu.be/0k6J7Bg8kg0

“This video aims to highlight a sample of just 8 local issues upon which the EU Parliament has usurped the control of central and local government in the UK – often to disastrous effect. Some appear scandalous, others farcical, but all illustrate that the EU is the hidden local issue. www.hiddenlocalissue.co.uk

This film was produced by the Europe of Freedom & Democracy Group in the European Parliament. It incorporates EU-critics, eurosceptics and eurorealists. The main goals of the Group are to reject the Treaty establishing a constitution for Europe and to oppose all forms of centralisation.”

Via (with Thanks): http://niklowe.blogspot.co.uk/2012/03/so-you-think-our-government-runs.html

So you think our Government runs the country.

Well think again. Why do you think “Call Me Dave” has done all those U turns? It’s our masters in the EU who are really calling the shots.

USA: Feeding The Homeless Is BANNED

Is it 1st April already?

Video from: http://youtu.be/k65ttFM1Zgs

Via: http://www.brasschecktv.com/videos/food/bloomberg-policing-homeless-diets-.html

Article from: http://theeconomiccollapseblog.com/archives/feeding-the-homeless-banned-in-major-cities-all-over-america

What would you do if you came across someone on the street that had not had anything to eat for several days?  Would you give that person some food?  Well, the next time you get that impulse you might want to check if it is still legal to feed the homeless where you live.  Sadly, feeding the homeless has been banned in major cities all over America.  Other cities that have not banned it outright have put so many requirements on those that want to feed the homeless (acquiring expensive permits, taking food preparation courses, etc.) that feeding the homeless has become “out of reach” for most average people.  Some cities are doing these things because they are concerned about the “health risks” of the food being distributed by ordinary “do-gooders”.  Other cities are passing these laws because they do not want homeless people congregating in city centers where they know that they will be fed.  But at a time when poverty and government dependence are soaring to unprecedented levels, is it really a good idea to ban people from helping those that are hurting?

This is just another example that shows that our country is being taken over by control freaks.  There seems to be this idea out there that it is the job of the government to take care of everyone and that nobody else should even try.

But do we really want to have a nation where you have to get the permission of the government before you do good to your fellow man?

It isn’t as if the government has “rescued” these homeless people.  Homeless shelters all over the nation are turning people away each night because they have no more room.  There are many homeless people that are lucky just to make it through each night alive during the winter.

Sometimes a well-timed sandwich or a cup of warm soup can make a world of difference for a homeless person.  But many U.S. cities have decided that feeding the homeless is such a threat that they had better devote law enforcement resources to making sure that it doesn’t happen.

This is so twisted.  In America today, you need a “permit” to do almost anything.  We are supposed to be a land of liberty and freedom, but these days government bureaucrats have turned our rights into “privileges” that they can revoke at any time. …

The bureaucrats are officially out of control.

In America today, it seems like almost everything is illegal.

One church down in Louisiana was recently ordered to stop giving out water because it did not have a government permit.

Well, I don’t know about you, but I sure am going to give a cup of cold water to someone if they need it whether I have a permit or not.

It is as if common sense has totally gone out the window in this nation.

Over in New Hampshire, a woman is being sued for planting flowers in her own front yard.

This is the kind of thing that makes me glad that I have moved to a much more rural location.  People in the country tend to be much more relaxed.

Sadly, those that love to micro-manage others continue to get the upper hand in America.  Back in January, 40,000 new laws went into effect all over America.  The politicians continue to hit us with wave after wave of regulations and laws with no end in sight.

All of this is making America a very unpleasant place in which to live.

The Jarvis Family to prosecute Leeds City Council for ‘Genocide’ and ‘Crimes against humanity’

Received this via email.
Following my recent discussions with knowledgeable individuals, it appears that ‘Family Trusts’ are a way of protecting us from The State.
See Chris’ site (http://thejarvisfamily.me/) for a lot for info.
Go Chris, go.

Press Release

Leeds City Council to be prosecuted for ‘Genocide’ and ‘Crimes against humanity’

In modern language usage, brought about by use within the Courts, the word “care“,  has become synonymous with the word “custody“.

A family is a group. The taking of children and moving them from one group to another is prohibited by UK and International Law, this is evidenced by the provision in UK Statute Law – International Criminal Court Act 2001 – Schedule 8 – Article 6 – Genocide (e) forcible transferring children of the group to another group

There is a forthcoming prosecution against Leeds City Council, due to evidence becoming available of the Body Corporate acting outside of any Lawful Jurisdiction, in its aim of creating a financial gain for itself, by creating a loss elsewhere, this is recognised and protected from in Law via the Fraud Act 2006.

Leeds City Council Corporate Body contains departments within.  Individual departments receive money, some for the custody of children.

If Leeds City Council departments do not spend their full budget within each financial term, they may not be eligible for a full budget the following term, if they do spend their budget, or go over budget they may become eligible for a full or increased budget the following term.

This is a target driven by money.

We intend to clearly show, using more than one example of children being removed from families, that the process  Leeds City Council have used in certain circumstances has been for their own gain, and outside of any accepted Lawful process.

Leeds City Council have been hiring the use of Circuit Judges and District Judges to sit in what looks like a Court environment, but is in effect only a room with an arbitrator, deceiving desperate parents in an attempt to take their children from them in order to fulfil their quotas.

What Leeds City Council has been doing, has nothing to do with Lawful process, or safety.

Notices of fault have been issued along with Notices of intended prosecution to relevant parties.

What we are doing is historic, and is in the Wider Public Interest, to uphold the Law.

We are all equal in Law.
